About Us
The EXCEL Department in the School of Extended and International Education has been conducting summer classes for kids, annually, for over 25 years. The EXCEL for Youth summer classes were traditionally held on the Sonoma State campus. However, since 2021, the classes have been conducted at different schools in Sonoma County that have agreed to participate in the program.
This year, the summer classes will be held at two different schools: Santa Rosa City Schools (Santa Rosa), and Twin Hills Union School District (Sebastopol). Classes will be conducted in three different sessions at the respective schools, and will run from June 24 to July 26. Our Instructor
Geeta Menon, M.S. in Computer Science and B.S. in Mathematics and Computer Science, has many years of programming and teaching experience in various schools, colleges and universities in the U.S. and abroad. She especially enjoys teaching programming classes to kids. She currently works as an information technology analyst/programmer at the School of Extended and International Education (SEIE) at Sonoma State University.
